  • This is my third day back at work and I guess I'm slowly easing back into it.  Of course by that I mean, I'm getting more and more tired from having to wake up early every morning and trudge into my job.  It's not even a bad job but there are just so many other things I'd rather be doing.
  • I haven't really done a whole lot after work the past few days.  I haven't had the motivation to do anything once I've gotten home.  A lot of the night is spent watching things on youtube and playing things on the Xbox.
  • I have been playing Street Fighter 4 a lot but yesterday I made an attempt at playing Halo 3.  I am not a fan of this type of game really.  First person shooters are not in the least bit fun for me and if I wasn't given the game as a gift I wouldn't even own it.  However, there is going to be a Halo-a-thon on Saturday morning with a few people from Manchester so I figured I should at least get the basic gameplay mechanics down before I'm completely destroyed.
  • During the year, I have a few TV shows that I download that I enjoy watching.  Over the years these shows have changed (as shows end or get canceled or whatever) but currently it seems like I have a lot of shows that I'm watching whereas in the past it was usually one or two.  I'm currently watching Top Chef Masters, Hell's Kitchen, Burn Notice and Penn and Teller's Bullshit.  Maybe it's just the timing of these shows that makes it seem like a lot.  In a month or so 3 of them will be over for the season and I'll be back to my normal rate of one or two shows a week.
  • After the above shows end, I can't think of much that I'm looking forward to.  Kitchen Nightmares is always good, the Office will start up again but beyond that, nothing.  I think a lot of my entertainment comes from crazies on youtube and not from television.
  • Speaking of crazies on youtube, I actually called into the TFL radio broadcast last week.  I was sitting at home on Friday morning and happened to catch the show in progress (which is rare) so I skyped into the show.  It was kind of funny as I only played the role of the contrarian but in a very polite way that prevented them from becoming angry (which is hard to do).  In the middle of the show, while something was going on, [livejournal.com profile] villagecharm  called and I disconnected, but in the end I sent them a bunch of articles about hikikomori (extreme shut-ins) in Japan and they were interested in it enough to read it on their next show.  I don't think they realized I was subtly mocking them the whole time.
