- For the past day or two I have been downloading "Basket Case 2". The download for it is really slow though. Now, I actually own the DVD for "Basket Case 2" and "Basket Case" but unfortunately not the freakishly awesome "Basket Case 3". Those two DVDs are in the US now so they are unwatchable but through the magic of the digital age I have been able to watch "Basket Case" on youtube (with spanish subtitles!) and will probably be watching part 2 tonight. Who has seen "Basket Case" by the way? Anyone? It's amazing for the weirdness factor alone.
- More on the Downard book. Today's reading contains a lot of stuff about Alexander Graham Bell getting head from various men on Jeckyll island as part of some magick sex rituals. There is also a murder covered up by the Ku Klux Klan and at least one point where he traps a seemingly peodophlic hotel manager in a room and blows him up via an intentional gas leak. All of this is condensened into about one chapter. He is apparently traveling around to various magick spots with his weird mother and someone who is supposedly a count. It's all bizarre. Did I mention that this is supposed to be a non-fiction autobiography?
- Yesterday, my excercise program restarted. I was able to get up enough momentum to start excercising again last night so hopefully I'll be able to keep it up. The anabolic part is still going to be rough though, no doubt about that. I am not much of a runner. Anyway, I'll be giving that a shot tonight. Maybe I'll walk/jog/run/jog/run/jog/walk to the grocery store. I admit, I should do this before eating to avoid an inevitable vomitty ending.
- Japan tends to get movies late, which has prevented me from partaking in Watchmen mania like so many others have. I really want to see it but I still have at least 2 and half more weeks to wait. It's too bad because regardless of all the critical reviews, I am still excited to see it. Speaking of movies being late, Benjamin Button and the new Friday the 13th are just out here now.
- I wish the post office was more convenient to get to and actually open at times when people might want to use it. What is the point of the post office being open only until 6pm. Nobody with a job can go there, ever. The post office closest to me is open Monday through Friday 9 - 6. That doesn't make sense for so many reasons. There is a larger post office but I don't think the actual shipping area is open past 6 either. There is a post office near my job though but it's impossible to visit due to ridiculous lines during lunch (as hundreds and hundreds of company employees all have lunch at the same time). My only other option is to go during work but not during lunch which involves so pretty easy to do sneaking away. Why am I talking about this? I have a box of kit-kats just waiting to be sent out to one Mr.
villagecharm . I believe there are over 20 varieties at this point, possibly 23 varieties. It would be impossible to not send it out with that amount.
ishedmywings also scanned some bread recipes for me. That is always welcome. One of them is really similar to the way I made my white bread. The wheat bread recipe is completely different to the one that I made though so I think I'll probably give this one a shot too. Thanks!

Date: 2009-03-11 08:31 am (UTC)how does one make variations on the Kit Kat?

Date: 2009-03-11 08:38 am (UTC)There are so many ridiculous kit-kat flavors here. Mostly the chocolate will be some kind of different flavor or the filling will be flavored differently. I am currently looking at a custard pudding kit-kat which has a custard flavored chocolate and what i guess is a caramel flavored filling. I have a box full of flavors though, lots of fruits and weird japanese teas and desserts too.

Date: 2009-03-12 04:23 pm (UTC)Also, green tea kit kats are the craziest flavor I've heard of - a friend of mine sent me some once. They were odd, but good. I mean, you can't really go wrong with chocolate.

Date: 2009-03-12 11:59 pm (UTC)I have seen the green tea ones lately but there are a lot weirder ones I think. There is one that I have that is some kind of japanese style desert made of red beans and mochi. That is a kit kat flavor.
